O’Neill Residency

The Jim Henson Foundation Puppetry Residency is an annual residency at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center for one deserving artist/company to work towards the completion of a new piece of contemporary puppet theater.  The residency is a collaboration with The O’Neill, which in addition to rehearsal space, room and board offers dramaturgical support.  In addition to the residency, a grant of $5,000 will be awarded to the artists by the Jim Henson Foundation to help cover expenses. Residencies may be between 2-4 weeks and can support up to 10-12 project participants.  Applications are open to all, however preference is given to those who have received Production Grants from The Jim Henson Foundation. To learn more about The Jim Henson Foundation Residency, visit:  theoneill.org
